thats exactly the point i was trying to make, on another forum, without success. Its about 10% from their normal price. To me a sale of the century, would have big reductions, and massive bargains.

Had a run out yesterday. Watched 8F 48151 working the Dalesman on the Settle Carlisle line then called at my favorite model shop to pick up a couple of Decoders. Ended up buying an unrebuilt Pat for the same price as Hattons advertised, or so I thought, should have read my emails before I set of. Anyway the £12.00 won't break the bank and at least I can be smug about supporting local model shops :D

I secumbed earlier today to 4-off Hornby Chocolate and Cream coaches ( not the Railroad versions) at about £14 each, which seemed good value for new compared to the prices being touted for used....... will be a contrast to my BR Blue Diesels and shall sit nicely in the Railway Heritage Centre that’s I have shoe-horned into my layout to provide justification to run whatever takes my fancy....... might even stretch to the occasional steam thingy !
