Return to Rail Modelling

#1

Post by Midlander »

Thank you for allowing me to join, I am returning to railway modelling after a break of approx 13 years. Mainly due to my in-laws finally moving out meaning I'm getting space for a layout again. During that time I have been modelling mostly tanks, aircraft and such.
I'm an Aussie and previously I modelled Australian trains with one Amtrak train to run on the local club US based layout. This time around though I am going for the GWR, a railway I have always been fascinated by. My user name is after the train I travelled on quite often as a railway apprentice, The Midlander, one Australian train I would like to still get a model of.

Thank you. Still a couple of months, at least, before downstairs is cleared of the in-laws junk. But time to start buying items for it for sure.
