GWR train consists

#1

Post by Midlander »

wasn't too sure where to post this, but I have started purchasing stock for an eventual layout and was wondering if there is a website or books that detail typical consists for GWR trains and how the various coaches would be marshalled. Thanks you in advance for any help

I have a book by David Jenkinson -- Historical Railway Modelling.

Although he tells thing on a LMS perspective most of the book is how railways in the UK were and are run; giving formations of coaches and goods wagons etc. etc.. Well worth the read.
