Re: Could you build this in your shed
This layout featured in Hornby Magazine a month or so ago - very impressive. The owner went to an estate agent to see if he could rent an industrial unit in which to house the layout - he was told nothing available - but I do have a warehouse basement that is huge, but does need some work - so he took it, cleared it out, installed lighting and here we are.
The owner has been working on this layout full-time for five years! Must have deep pockets!
The guy doing the video, Luke Aps is a bit strange, but his "how to" videos are very good - no messing around - straight down to it.

I wonder how many towns/cities would have the sort of space required for this layout, readily available?

He said he was going to use closed down shops so should be OK.

I think it would have to be a "supermarket" - not sure many shops in Basingstoke are two hundred feet deep, never mind eighty feet wide.Walkingthedog wrote: ↑Thu Jul 16, 2020 11:08 am He said he was going to use closed down shops so should be OK.

When our House of Fraser closes we’ll have room. You’d be surprised how many shops are that big when empty.
