Superb, I had to do a double take to make sure it was a model and not a photo. Absolutely love it. Something to aspire too.

And this is all point-to-point? I cannot recall having seen such a major undertaking in the version of point-to point. Point to points are a rarity in the US.
Hi Chops

End-to-end layouts are very common in the UK. One of the problems with a relatively small space (in my case 10ftx7ft), is that the layout can look more like a train set than a model railway - with trains just running round and round in small circles. I can run a three coach + tender loco without it looking like a tail-chaser - the whole train fits into the station, just about gets lost in the tunnel and will fit in the fiddle yard. The intention, eventually, will be to run a time-tabled service. BB
To my jaded North American eyes, the point-to-point so skillfully executed by UK modelers is something of a wonder. The manner by which
UK modelers create point-to-point, as well as continuous looped railways in small spaces has been a lesson to me, and a most enjoyable
lesson at that. :) I would very much like to see your time table operation, or at least a discussion of it. 8-)

No time-table in operation yet. In fact trains have not been running for sometime - I'm always doing something else! If I'm honest, the layout is becoming a "static" model - even my wife said are you ever going to have trains running.

....and as you like a challenge, and as the station lights are all on, the street lights should be on, the bus should have rear red lights and it's internal lights should be on, unless it is parked, then red lights will be sufficient. Also, don't forget the zebra crossing lights!

I greatly admire your work and think of the challenges ahead for me, mainly getting everything DCC'd and running!

Station lights are always on. It’s not quite lighting up time and the belisha beacon lights are flashing but were off as the picture was taken. :D :D

I agree that is a very welcoming glow coming from the Station, you have illuminated the whole scene spot on BB.
It does not take me long to do five minutes work.
Nostalgia is not what it used to be.
