Hi all 'sparks'

I have little knowledge of electrics - shocking isn't it!

I require some fuses for the 12 volt transformers for my Hornby -Dublo 3 rail power supply which I have recently discovered hiding in a cupboard.

What ampage do I need as there appears to be no indication on the cartridges. Also I am not sure what the size is (6.3 x 32mm I think)

Any suggestions where is the best place to acquire replacements and answers to my questions would be most welcome.

I would suggest for the low voltage side that 1.0Amp or 1.5Amp would be the normal current rating.

Suppliers... Ebay, Rapid, CPC Farnell to name but three... .Ebay examples Link 1 to 1.0Amp fuses
Link to 1.5Amp fuses

For the Mains (240 volt) side 3.0Amp maximum

A word of caution.... Mains powered items from that era seriously need a full electrical inspection and testing - PAT checking is ideal. Remember mains is lethal and can kill, cause fires etc so do not use until a full electrical safety check has been carried out by a qualified PAT inspector or Electrician
