Re: Flu jab?
I think its already started, thats why ours is so late this year. Annoying really, especially as missus is on the NHS vulnerable list.
Most people are shocked when they find out how bad I am as an electrician
Re: Flu jab?
Although we have both booked for a jab at Boots current commercial rate, the memsahib got a call for a free one today - dodgy ticker.bulleidboy wrote: ↑Mon Sep 14, 2020 6:23 pmI do Steve, but I was never sure why? I think I've been having this jab since I was sixty. I recall a standard letter just turning up from the GP practice - you know the type - if your surname begins with A-C turn-up on Wednesday afternoon - and I've been getting the letter ever since. I've got to have a heart-monitor fitted in a few weeks time - only for twenty-four hours. This all started with the hernia op! I suppose it's better to know now if there is a problem - they tell me there are no problems - I feel great. Barry
Apparently I am neither old enough nor decrepit enough to qualify.

We used to get them free in Cyprus and we also get them free in UK as we are both well over 65. In Cyprus they said if we had them too early we would have to have another one as they only effective for 3-months - I never knew that.
We are booked into the local surgery on 9th Oct on a timed slot.

We also had a free shingles jab last year, which didn’t seem to work on Mrs H as she had a first ever shingles attack as we went on hols last week and she is still suffering the painful effects today. None of the suggested painkillers are having any effect.
