Stannington - Christmas shunting layout for dad

#1

Post by davidrivett »

Merry Christmas all,

Rather than socks and smellies for Christmas for my dad, decided in late October to build him a shelf layout for his house.

Using bits of wood, card, printed brick paper and a bit of new flexitrack I've built a 4 tier layout - 3 x tracks and 1 x road for buses / trolleybuses.

Bottom level includes a 3 siding stabling point and is powered for shunting, with the other 2 being for static exhibits.

Once painted and landscaped, really pleased with the outcome to the point I'm questioning starting my own layout again, using the new techniques I've picked up doing this one 🤦‍♂️

Dave - ever thought of putting yourself up for adoption 😀.......one lucky dad to get such a great christmas present, which I would happily trade several new sweaters for !

Very nice indeed, what a lovely present.
And the Lord said unto John “Come forth and receive eternal life”, but John came fifth and won a toaster!
