What a shame, that is/was a great model. Let's hope Metcalfe re-introduce it or release something similar.

Re: Small addition to the layout
Most people are shocked when they find out how bad I am as an electrician
Re: Small addition to the layout
It does seem strange to discontinue something like that. It is not as if 'we cannot get the parts anymore' or something. Possibly they have to produce 500 at a time and it was just not selling enough.

Re: Small addition to the layout
That looks very good - I had to do a double take at the trees - for one moment I thought they were model trees rather than a backscene. BB
Re: Small addition to the layout
After reading this I did a second look. The trees appear to me to be a mixture of backscene and model although on first sight I too thought they were all models. Brilliant photography to fool the eye.bulleidboy wrote: ↑Sat Dec 26, 2020 9:23 am That looks very good - I had to do a double take at the trees - for one moment I thought they were model trees rather than a backscene. Re: Small addition to the layout
Thanks for the nice comments, the backscene is free, printed from the web and there is just one model tree which is just this side of the shed. I made the tree myself and my efforts at tree making are in this post - viewtopic.php?p=28328#p28328
Yes the photo gives a good depth of field. BTW just fixed the chimney pot I knocked over.
