On your marks, get set.....
Re: On your marks, get set.....
Very impressed with that warehouse!
One piece of advice I would give, based on recent experience, is do not be in too much of a hurry to do the ballasting. I have just had to rip up some beatifically ballasted track because it just didn't 'work' when I started properly running trains on it.

Well done with those buildings, they look terrific.
Most people are shocked when they find out how bad I am as an electrician

First class buildings - add some drainpipes for depth. Brilliant job. Ballast points very carefully - a bit (an inch!) at a time.

Wow! Thanks very much everyone . It was easy enough once I'd got my thoughts straight and the scale right.
I've been advised by his Lordship that my next creation is going to be a dock with the QE2 approaching it .... lord knows how I'll do that - fall flat on my face I expect
I've found some 'corex' type material (used as stiffener when prints come in the post) so I'm thinking turning it into a corrugated tin shed, which is a little more ambitious than the warehouse, but much less so than the QE2 I think working my way up to these things is the best way forward (and less likely to disappoint)
wish me luck!

Tell his lordship that the QE2 would be over 12ft long in OO.

Maybe this pic will help Maria, I took it in Fremantle Australia last year when it aborted its cruise and unloaded all the passengers just before lockdown. Only problem It is Mary and not Elizabeth.
Like your buildings well done you certainly have a talent for this hobby.

QE2 is a tad smaller and better looking.
It was called 2 because the original QE still existed when it was launched.

I think you’ve just passed me a “get out of jail free” card
Top man!

It's funny how it's not until you want to model them that you grasp the size of some things. I was hoping I could model a golf course in N but when I ran the numbers it came out to something like 40 square metres of baseboardWalkingthedog wrote: ↑Fri Jan 08, 2021 12:57 pm Tell his lordship that the QE2 would be over 12ft long in OO.
So I decided not to bother.
I might do something with a backdrop eventually but I don't think I can afford to do more than model a single tee box
But those warehouses are very good.
