Diesels at Crown Point.
Re: Diesels at Crown Point.
Thanks for all your comment, guys. Much appreciated. I shall let you know I am still around even if not posting.
Ninemil. Welcome on board. Glad you like the layout. I am trying to make it a 'Living Model Railway' with everything having a reason. Remembering to see what I see and not what I think I saw.
James McHale has his camera and is waiting for a train to photograph.
A drop of oil here. A drop of oil there. Class 47 47583 County of Hertfordshire. A locomotive I used to see regularly. Why, when it was so far away from its depot? Maybe the Northern crews liked it and wouldn't send it back.

Like the photos, especially the colours in the bush and the way you have blended in the backscene and the actual area modelled.

Thanks for your comments, cheshire lines.
Crown Point Yard has been remodelled to accept more engines. The wires shown on the right of the second picture above have now been moved under the baseboard.
---------------------------------------------------
Some scenery has been freshened up since last time.
Work still goes on at Charlie Marston's otherwise a quiet time before the next train.

I love the plant life on your layout David - it always looks so colourful - dare I say tropical Barry

Diesels!
'Watching the Trains'
Class 25 25237 with a train of Ale Vans heading north.
Sometimes Clarence Dock becomes 'Gillingham Pier' so I can run my collection of Medway Queen wagons for 'half an hour'.

Pictures taken from the last running session.
Class 121 at the level crossing on a Gillingham Quay service.
Back to running trains at Crown Point & Sovereign Street.
Class 26 26009 on a Leeds Central to Goole service at the junction.
Class 50 50007 Hercules on its way from Crown Point Yard to Leeds Central. Its next turn of duty is the 0932 Leeds Central to Plymouth. A few Class 50s did actually make the journey from Plymouth to Leeds, but I do not think they were liked by Northern crews as they were sent back on the next available service. It gives me a reason to run one though.

Nice updates. Always a pleasure seeing these trains barreling through the gorse.

You know me, Chops. I hate things being 'perfect'.

Having a continuous run and no terminus I can run reasonably long trains.
