Manufacturers of mimic boards/control panels

#1

Post by Richard »

I am looking for someone who will manufacture a mimic board/control panel for me. Essentially I need the panel surface marked out with the track layout in schematic form and the holes pre-drilled for the LEDs and point switches. The whole to be mounted on a box or frame which can be fixed to the edge of the layout.

Can anyone recommend someone who could do this for me? There are one or two people who advertise in the magazines but a personal recommendation is always better. Thank you.

You have probably seen this one - https://megapointscontrollers.co.uk/wp- ... ochure.pdf
As you say they advertise in the railway magazines. Many build there own - mine is very simple - an A4 sized sheet of 3mm plastic sheet, with the layout lined out in car body-stripping, and then toggle switches placed at the relevant points (excuse the pun) to operate points. Other switches have been added as required. It's pretty basic, but does everything required - ImageIMG_0761 by Barry Clayton, on Flickr

This is mine, I used Anyrail track builder printed on 4 A4 photo sheets and lots of toggle switches. The whole lot on 3mm Plasticard sheet 500 x 450.
