Came across this today and loved it. Just had to share it, sorry if it's been here before.

Tremendous layout, the detailing is superb. I am confused though, Hornsey is on the Eastern region, yet I spotted the 3rd rail? I have not listened to the dialogue, so there may be an explanation. Did you notice, the clouds are actually moving across the sky

I was born and bred in Hornsey North London and did a lot of train spotting at Finsbury Park.

Hi Bob - I was born and bred in Muswell Hill - TWD and I both attended 16F Air Cadets at Alexandra Palace (at different times). I did even manage a couple of trips on the train from Cranley Gardens to Alexandra Palace (the station next to the building - not the current one). Barry

Used to see the blue prototype Deltic come through Alexander Palace Station every afternoon after school.

Yes, I used to see the blue Deltic as well. I used to do my train spotting at New Southgate - in the mid-fifties we moved from Muswell Hill to Friern Barnet, so New Southgate station was five minutes away on my bike. In 1964 we had a "big" move, from North London to Surrey, and by then I had been working for a couple of years, so commuted into Waterloo, which I continued doing until 2009 - hence my liking for Merchant Navy Class - passing Nine Elms and Stewarts Lane twice a day from 1964 until 1968 - I saw a lot of "southern" steam. Another memory from Hornsey as a young boy is the Lotus racing cars just below the steps coming down from Hornsey Station, l must have seen Colin Chapman many times working on the cars and not knowing at the time how famous he would become, being so close to those racing machines and hearing them roaring into life was a real treat for me.
As you said Happy Times.
