They should keep you occupied. Externally I don’t think there is any difference between an 08 and 09.

Hi
Can confirm there is no external difference between 08 and 09 except the air and vacuum pipes are at buffer level, and also high level, at both ends on some machines. Therefore answer has normal advice - Check Photo

Plus a bag of detailing parts, screws, decoder blanking plate, etc.

Mama Mia! Itsa an Italiana! Bought this off Ali Express after a review on Sam's Trains. It appears to bear the hallmarks of a good old Triang design: pizza cutter flanges and a husky motor. Best of all, according to Sam's review, it runs good. We'll find out today. Being a British Fancier in North American, most Americanos regard anything with buffers as European and thus anything of that sort could pass for British. Of course, this would never fly with an Englishman, but over here I can get away with murder, including some nice Electrotren pieces that I'm quite fond of. Also worth mentioning, it is
quite cheap, even with shipping from deepest China.

Looks great. Seems to sit high, or is that camera angle, or how they are 1:1? R-
Young at heart. Slightly older in other parts.

Dapol Class 52 Western Duke and I love it. Just need to configure the CVs for the best running.
I initially had the Western Prince, but due to poor running it went back to TMC who said there was nothing wrong but offered an exchange. So after four months of waiting it eventually arrived.

Re: Your latest acquisition
Thank you - I found them and removed the body. It does have a DCC chip inside. Although it doesn't respond to DCC commands it works on DC. I may swap out the chip if I can't get it to work.
Re: Your latest acquisition
Hi Ian
Are you sure it's a decoder inside and not a DC only operation blanking plug? Some DC Blanking plugs look like decoders due to all the components mounted on them for motor control and directional lighting.
A clear photo would be helpful if you're unsure

Re: Your latest acquisition
Fairly certain - the components are sealed inside a wrapping and it was sold on ebay as being DCC fitted although no photos of the inside was included in the listing to prove it. I can't remember the make printed on the sleeve, it resembles many of the DCC concepts and other chips I've purchased over the last year. A photo will follow later today.
Photos as promised. On further investigation it is a LAISDCC chip. I swapped it out with a Rails Nano and it works great. The Rails DCC chip is only 4 function but as there are no lights on this basic loco I've reprogrammed it and all is well. Strangely someone has added 2 figures in the cab, but it's very difficult to see them due to no lights
