Crouch End just along from Muswell Hill is so posh now the rich people owning all those expensive houses call it Croosh Ond. :D

Yes, we lived in Hornsey as well. Usually I say to people I'm from Finsbury Park as most have heard of that and our house was five mns from Park entrance and ten to the station. Some wonderful train spotting opportunities back then. Used to walk to Crouch End when I wasnt feeling lazy, and went to ATC at Alexander Palace. Seem to remember Crouch Hill was very "Arty" with drama groups and modelling studios etc. At least it was 60 years ago!

Just an update on my house move.
Moved into the house on the 16th of April having had to sleep on a blow up bed Since then as our furniture was in storage and the waiting time to get it transported was three to four weeks due to demand of house movements and vehicles.
Should have arrived today but lorry and trailer has overturned on the A303 Cartgate roundabout at 8oclock this morning.
Don’t hold much hope of any of the furniture being in one piece, that’s if it ever gets here at all.

It should be covered by the transport company's own insurance, assuming they are professionals.

My wife and her sisters have just listed their mother house 195K, needs some updating but you can always come down but can't go up.

Younger sister in law is estranged and has made everything difficult since their mother was taken as a result of Covid, well she beat and was clear of Covid while in hospital but wasn't strong enough to recover, then again Covid rules the roost in many inappropriate ways!!!!

Made quiet a splash on local news. A303 was closed for several hours and is a busy road. R-

We were expecting two deliveries of our furniture with two lorries over two days so we thought the risk of any damaged to our possessions was halved but have now been informed that the lorry was pulling a trailer so all our items were together in one journey. The lorry and trailer were towed back to the Depot in Plymouth so we are still awaiting for more information on the state of our belongings. The good outcome was that the driver and crew were all safe and obviously in shock but with no major injuries which we were very relieved about.
