Very easy to fit a decoder as the lid simply unclips.
Sorry I'm late but I couldn't get my flip-flops to work :roll:

@ Brian, I am very pleased with this model and, yes, the weight is considerable. It is very easy to get hooked on to this O gauge stuff. Amazing how much larger it is than the Dapol Terrier.

@Barry, I am happy to run on DC for the time being. I had intended to fit a Hornby TTS decoder but only specific decoders can be used to mate with the internal electronics.

Mines runs extremely slowly and is very quiet. I do like the colour of your version.
