It really does look like you have just had a downpour glencairn and as Ian mentioned the sun coming out reflected on the wall after the rain shower just makes it all look so real.

It does not take me long to do five minutes work.

Thank you for your comments, Puddles.
Nothing fancy. I used a clear varnish to achieve the wet look.

Three views of Clarence Dock and Yard

'Katie' is on the passenger train. Harwood is shunting the wagons

The dock side is old track sleepers. Nothing fancy; just easily repaired if the grandchildren caught and broke it when they are here. The only time it has broken is me catching it!!!

Thank you for your comments, BB. Much appreciated.
I just try to create little scenes that I remember and have a railway running through it. :)
They all add up to the reason why the railway is there.

Here is a picture of a southbound troop train. On board is part of 19th (1st North Riding of Yorkshire) Regiment of Foot. The locomotive in charge is Ex-Calder Railway 'Bezel'

The same train passing Crown Point Junction. Ash Farm Fields and the lake are beyond.
IMG_5342.JPG
The scene at Clarence Dock. The goods train hasn't arrived yet. A 'little scallywag' is being 'told off' by the policeman. Has he been stealing (again)?

They seem to fit in well with the rest of your rolling stock.
