Re: Footy or tennis or both?
I'm with you on both counts, I hate Wimbledon fortnight when they all but take over the major BBC channels. But I DO understand that many will feel similarly agrieved at the Euros coverage atm (It WAS good yesterday).darkscot wrote: ↑Tue Jun 29, 2021 1:24 pm It is certainly not tennis! But who could not be excited by the two games of football that happened yesterday?
In my case it has mainly been due to the good weather, I cannot justify sitting down in the cellar all day when there garden needs attention and the dog needs a walk.
I do enjoy my model railway hobby but there has to other stuff going on in my life lol. I broke a bone in my wrist 4 weeks ago and been in plaster since so most things incl MR and gardening have been severely curtailed, but the Euros have come to my rescue. (Typing one fingered!)
I only posted about it to wind up the non-sportsters on here (it worked) plus it really has been very quiet of late.
Most people are shocked when they find out how bad I am as an electrician

It's summer - I think? So more to be done outside. I have done the odd job, like the fencing - something simple which didn't take long. I like football and tennis, but I am not glued to the set, as some .

Pardonnez moi, it occupies 2 uk tv channels, for 3 weeks, methinks its bigger than you think.

When the tour came through the UK tens of thousands of people watched it pass by. It was hugely popular. Not my cup of tea though.

Absolutely not. I have been to two football matches since I was 12. That was one too many. Our daughter was the team mascot at the second one.
