Re: Sandy Hills The new layout
I take it that it is removable like mine and not hinged. I have been considering having it hinged downwards. Maybe one day I’ll give it a try.

It looks hinged to me, at left hand side.
Most people are shocked when they find out how bad I am as an electrician

Yes you are right, didn’t spot the hinges in the small picture.

Happy new year WTD. I dont feel like doing much this morning.
No it is lifting flap, see it in picture. To tell you the truth I thnk I would have prefered it to be removable because the hinges get in the way of the senics. Have seen people using fancy side flat hinges but I did not think of those. But they are even more unsightly.

You can still do it. Add alignment pins/dowels at the hinge end, remove hinges, add plugs and sockets to wires that gross the gaps, done.

Can't be asked now it is done, will make do with it. It works well. Want to get on with the main station section and the embankments for the crossover and join up the main line and get things running. I can't wait to get trains running.

Sandy,
You could always make a bridge to cover up the hinges, one that just drops on top, once the flap is secured.
