Master Piece Models 45xx

#1

Post by Pannier Tank »

I was invited by a friend to attended the O Gauge Trade Show at Reading today. He had a stand and asked me if I fancied going along to see what was available in O gauge. I of course said "Yes".

It proved to be a very expensive day.

I spotted and fell in love with a 45xx Prairie on Master Piece Models Stand, she was stunning, fully detailed and exquisitely finished (with a price to match). I knew I could resist. Even when John took off the cab roof to show all of the cab detail I knew I was strong and I could resist. Even when he told me she was DCC I knew I was strong and I could resist. Even when he said "She has full sound" I knew I was strong and I could resist.

I am a weak and feeble man...….

Still at least I did not crack and buy her a coach too because I am a strong man.

Oh, Dr Beeching what have you done?
There once were lots of trains to catch, but soon there will be none!

Resistance? I don't have that word in my lexicon. That is a beautiful model. The early Type 45xx with the flat top to the tanks are quite appealing.
