Railway Warehouse Buildings.

Post by The Sligo Rover »

Evening all, can anybody point me in the right direction to some sort of a guide to railway warehouses and how high the different floor levels might be and at what height a first floor hoist would be installed at. Would I be right to assume if the warehouse looks about right to the eye, then it may well be better that an accurate scale version. Would I be better to err on the smaller side?

Hi - I don't know anything about floor heights or hoists, but I have the 00 gauge Metcalfe warehouse models on my layout and they look about right to my eye........will upload an image as soon as this is working again on the site.

Thank you, I am familiar with the Metcalfe kits, I will have a look at the web site because it gives the dimensions of the kits.
Like I said in my opening post - if it looks just about right, then it is right.
