I had to replace a point about 8 days before Christmas so I ordered 1 from Howes Models on line and it arrived 2 days later. Post free. That is better than before the post strike.

Still only three Christmas cards (late) in the last four weeks. I have three small items on order where RM was the only post option. In future I will only be using retailers who offer a courier delivery and hoping those that don’t offer one now make the switch as soon as possible.

but Rails don't use 1st or 2nd class post they always use 48 tracked and RM are still giving tracked and special deliveries priority so you will get it.

Three Christmas cards arrived this morning!
Meanwhile, a little something I ordered from the TMC Boxing Day sale was posted yesterday and will arrive within the next two hours.
Steve, RM did state they would only give signed for and Spec deliveries priority, all other mail would be delayed.

I wasn't clear with my comment comment - TMC delivery was via DPD. Wherever possible RM will get no further business from me.
Also the abandonment of 'normal' post is not at all helpful as I am in the middle of a dispute with the DWP over a miscalculation of my pension and such challenges have time limits imposed on them by the government.

It was Tracked 48 and I did get it, eventually! Tracked 24 and 48 items were affected just the same as normal post. I posted a small parcel with Tracked 24 on the 12th December and it arrived on the 22nd.

I was in there the other day. It's a nice little unit, it's a bit off the beaten track being in a small (new) group of units housing small businesses. They recently moved a couple of doors along into a bigger unit, they have a good selection of stock and all well laid out. The owner is a nice guy too. Free parking right outside but they don't appear to open on Saturdays - not that that matters to me. That's my free commercial for Hampshire Models. :)
