In January 1965 I was told I was posted to Aden unaccompanied. I told the powers to be I was getting married in the summer and they said get a move on and bring it forward to early April, which we did and the posting was changed to an accompanied tour in Cyprus instead- result.

I am the ‘baby’ in our ex-apprentice walking group at 79. The eldest is 93. Keep on a‘troshing as they say in Norfolk.
