i dont know how you guys find the time in the summer to do all this to your layouts. i have not gone upstairs since mid april, as 3 acres of garden takes total priority. tis only now, when grass has decided to go yellow and stop growing, that i can plan to do other things.

It's way down the "to-do" list Steve - a job for the winter months.

John - I don't have three acres, but grass does need cutting twice a week. As replied to Steve - saving up jobs for later. Barry

PS: May be a few more jobs added to the list? Just received a call (2.30pm) - due to a cancellation I am having my cataract surgery on Wednesday afternoon. So may not be able to see to well for a couple of days or so.

Latest acquisition to the collection. Not likely to be running into Wykeham Station very often. Now had the sound profile upgraded to Version 2.0 and a Power Bank fitted - this now charges while the loco is stationary. If nothing else it does add a bit of colour to the layout.

Barry, meant to ask, about your vision. We have both had both eyes done and i have 20/20 for everything apart from reading. Heather is a tad less.

Hi John - Class 66 King Charles III is a Hornby model - Exclusive to Club members. It comes with the new TXS 21pin decoder fitted together with sound - would you believe it plays the National Anthem :o It's a fairly basic model to which I may add lights - plenty of kits available. It was a good deal for Club Members £129.00 - if you buy the decoder alone that costs £70.00.

Eyesight is fine thank you. I have my follow-up eye test at Boots next week, following which I can apply to have the other eye dealt with. Left eye is good, but surgeon said "If you have one eye done you might as well have the other one done" - I suppose it's best to have everything on a level playing field? The clinic did say that once both eyes done I would just need a cheap pair of reading glasses.

Summer's over - back to work :o an illuminated telephone box outside the station. Have yet to attach the door as I am looking for the right person to be entering to make a call.

Thanks Brian - I am looking for a person who just happens to have their hand in the right position to be opening the door.
It's amazing how a picture will show up any errors - when painting the gold crown over the door the brush must have just touched below the crown - I'll have to get the red paint out again.
