I am new to this group, presently building a fully monochrome model railway called Brief Encounter

Here is my progress so far, I also love attending shows and video blog them and try and interview layout owners

Hi Dawn welcome to the forum. What a brilliant idea, a monochrome layout. Looks excellent.

Bit late to say welcome, as I don't log on to the forum that often, but wanted to say that I have seen your YT videos and that I think your layout Close Encounter looks absolutely amazing.

Most interesting. No doubt this has a future for exhibition halls, as if it were simply for videography one could simply click a button and
convert all content to B&W. In watching "Peaky Blinders," it is worth noting that it is filmed in color, but most everything in the mis-en-scene
is black and white. Occasionally, someone will stroll past with a red scarf or something, and the effect underscores the underlying despair
of the characters. Moreover, recently I watched a fabulous little piece on youtube of a railway junction still under steam as of 1967, and
while filmed in color, so much of the equipment and surrounding grimy, industrial terrain appeared to B&W.

Anyways, superb crafting, I wish I had half as much talent! And again, point-to-point model rail is very rare in the USA, so this adds another
layer of the exoctic.
