I have been attempting to construct some more "working" SR Concrete Platform Lamps using the Ratio 454 Lamps kit. I made a number some years ago, but am now having trouble getting the wires from the LED's to stick to the plastic lamp post. Attaching the lamp shade is easy, super glue works perfectly, but attaching the wires is a nightmare. Any ideas?
Here are some I made earlier (years ago):

Re: Platform Lamps - but which glue??
Are you following the same method as before ie filing a groove in the lamp post to sit the wire in?
Try a drop of super glue at the top to hold the wire in place, then pull the wire tight and repeat the drop of glue at the bottom. Then 'flood' the wire with super glue as a filler. Always use a spray activator on the glue.

Thanks Steve - I was doing everything as before, but the "glue" does not stick. Not used "activator" before - what is it?
Re: Platform Lamps - but which glue??
Spray cans available on Amazon - search for super glue activator. Works wonders.

i use this product, not the cheapest but it works well https://www.toolstation.com/pvcu-super- ... tor/p74493
Amazon have it cheaper, but Toolstation is only a four minute drive from me hence I pay the little extra and have a can of spray immediately.
