What are these
Morning all,
Can someone tell me what these are and what they might be used for. They are on a Bachmann LMS.
They are thin spring wire and are just glued into plastic and don't appear to be connected Ted to anything.

Would that happen to be a typo I guess do you mean STANDING pipes. I thought they could be that but no one else seems to have them.

They are sand pipes, used ro apply dried sand to the rails to improve traction when slippage is a problem

I stand corrected. Never seen sand pipes up there like that. Always saw them right down against the tracks in front of the wheels. Guess I'd better put them back on again.

When you put the body on the chassis they will be down against the track
