A significant event.
Re: A significant event.
I hope all goes well for you too. I've waited 14 months but I am now on the list to go under the knife tomorrow too. Hopefully the surgery to replace a defective and painful knee will be a success. The lack of the ability to drive is the thing I will miss the most. Apparently different surgeons recommend different lengths of time of not driving and the car insurance people have a view too. I'll wait until the surgery is over before asking the insurance people then I can state my surgeon says 'x' weeks.

Re: A significant event.
Good afternoon all. I'm pleased to report I am back home with a new heart valve plus a Pacemaker to ensure I don't run too fast.
I am feeling very fragile an apparently recovery takes several weeks and I can't cut the grass or wash the car let alone drive it.
Thing is, the pacemaker bluetooths to a transmitter so I just hope that when I run my HM-DCC decoder fitted trains that my pacemaker won't run amok when I turn the throttle up.

Sorry I'm late but I couldn't get my flip-flops to work

Good news Howard. Best wishes for a full recovery - at a gentle speed. R-
Young at heart. Slightly older in other parts.
