Period freight wagons/vans

#1

Post by OOLee »

Morning all,

Hope you've all had a good Christmas 🎅

I'm looking for some information for 1930/40's freight wagons/vans, companies/liveries etc that was in service during this period. Although the layout will be military themed I still want civilian and goods traffic so wondering what one's would be appropriate, any links or pictures to any of these would be greatly appreciated 👍

Cheers, Lee.

Pinterest is another good source on occasion. If you find someone who has been down your path before then it's golden.

Thank you for the replies gentlemen, I've done the usual searches but not come up with much unfortunately.
While searches of that time period shows up the type of wagons/vans used it doesn't show much freight advertising etc that I was looking for and having missed that period by a couple of decades I'm not sure what would have been right or authentic for those year's 🤔

Cheers, Lee.

Ps. Happy new year to all 👍

Thank you Brian 👍
I'm still searching for pictures/evidence of freight vans for dry goods, food/provision companies etc or similar moving on the railways and also tankers carrying fluid/liquid also of this time period,

Cheers, Lee.
