I find that with a lot of motors now ( even the older triang X04 and XO3 motors ) that the suppressors don't really make a difference as far as tv interference is concerned so I just remove them anyway.

To improve performance of locomotives with the triang XO3 and X04 motors, I have on many previous occasions fitted polarised electrolytic capacitors of suitable voltage higher than the 12 volts the motors need. The bare minimum voltage of capacitors I use is 25 or 50 volts depending on what I have available at the time into the locos boilers. The only limitation is that the bigger the voltage and microfarad rating of the capacitor, the larger it is and with those bigger capacitors ( up to 400 volts at 2,200 microfarad ) I fit them into tenders whereas with tank locos only the 25 or 50 volt capacitors are fitted.

It may be interfering with somebody else's TV etc. Depends where your layout is situated. Many moons ago when I had a loft layout one loco played havoc with my neighbours TV because he had a signal booster in his loft just the other side of the wall. Mine was fine.

Might leave well enough alone if its there it stays if its not then good.
