Fairbairn Lawson's Leeds were manufacturers of metal goods. During the war they changed production to small arms and munitions
Two wagons loaded with boxes of small arms.

Thank you for the kind words WTD.

Glad you like it, Chops. Just a fun layout that is a little different. :)

Hello glencairn,

Would you happen to know if any of these munition wagons would have gone on to be used in wwII ? I have seen similar wagons for sale but have held off until I gather a little more information,

Cheers, Lee.

Sure Lee. Most munitions wagons I have were seen in WW2. Would they be seen in WW1? Some not. I love the variety of wagons and Rule 1 comes into place.

Obviously the L&Y and NBR ones are WW1.

I bought my wagons from Wessex Wagons, Yeovil Railway Centre. No affiliation.

Some reorganising and alterations are underway.

Clarence Dock has gone as has the old Leeds Sovereign Street Station.

Clarence Dock is now the new Sovereign Street Station with two platforms

Somethings haven't changed. Jimmy Marston is still changing the wheel. Five years he has been doing it.

Charlie Marston is still negotiating a sale to someone who wants to preserve a locomotive.
