As per usual, 'life in general' has got in the way of progress! However before we up the detailing am giving the trackwork a good workout. Have to say it runs very well. Gonna do a few hours of standard running, pointwork tests etc. Definitely feel I need to get the electrics and track right before ballasting etc.

Hope to crack on over the next few weeks.. Video below of running. Yes I grew up in the era of BR Blue and IC Diesels!

I loved your video for several reasons: the British passion for modeling passenger rail. It is not nearly done so much in US modeling, do a degree, yes, but not the wholehearted extent of British modeling. It looks like you got everything up and running in splendid order. I hope you will post more videos as you add to it. I'd enjoy seeing your version on British Rail.

Quick update on progress (or lack of it!)

All Peco electric points are now motorised. Virtually all of the 2D scenery is down. Just a few refinements to make here and there. Will be adding more detail as time goes by. Going to do the track ballast at some point too. Buildings have just been hand placed to give me some ideas for the final end product. Have put my electrical musings in the relevant section.

Will soon be simply enjoying running my trains on the layout :D It does run extremely well too.

Couldn't agree more with you Chops. I love a passenger related layout much more than a freight orientated one and the Brits/Europeans do passenger layouts brilliantly.
Critisising is easy - Justifying it is the hard part
