Return loops.

#1

Post by Aussie 3 railer »

Hello All,

I am heading into trouble on my track design.... maybe. I have two seperate return loops that I am thinking of running into a single point, then the extension of this join to run into another point that would be the return of both back into the main track.

Question. Do I need to have two seperate polarity switching arrangements one on each point. I will probably use DCC Concepts Ip digital controller and their Rex system. Am I going to need two seperate set ups or only on the final return back to the main track.

Bit confusing so appoligies for any confusion. I know I am.

A simple track plan would help resolve it easier, but as far as I can understand all the loops eventually arrive at one point. Its at the end of that point in each direction that all the loops can start. Anything further on inside that first point and forming a second loop needs to be treated in the same fashion. i.e. you would have two seperate loops each switched by its own points change-over contacts or if DCC via two Reverse Loop Modules.

Hello Brian,

Thank you for the reply. You are right that was the plan but on reflection I think it best if I reverte back to my original layout. Its getting beyond my knowledge and ability. Thank you again though.

Dirk.
