Appreciate the comment thank you. It is what I am aiming for, although I’m not sure that it’s there yet, there’s probably more work to do. Whilst I know it’s a shed yard layout, I like the ground work on the Maindee East layout (if that’s still about).

Very nice work - well done. Gives me inspiration for when I make my fourth board this autumn.

Further progress on the goods shed yard over the last couple of nights with the installation of yard lights.

Back to the good shed itself now, there were issues with the gable ends; some of the longitudinal roof tresses didn’t sit right and I was far from happy with how it looked. (The Project Manager always knows when there’s an issue with something - I avoid it like the plague). So alterations have been made and it sits taped up and gluing now. Gable end barge boards should hide any minor discrepancies. Lighting, doors and guttering still to fit.

A bit further on with the shed now, the NER sky blue is a bit bright but with a bit of a wash it will tone down. The fall pipe will have to come round the corner though, there’s no clearance for the wagons, basics

The glazed window is a just a test/mock up and I’m not sure I like it, I’m not sure what it’s going to achieve, so I might just corrugated it all, undecided tonight.

I agree with you about the window, but other than that it looks superb - well done.

Thanks BB, I finally decided against the roof glazing, it just wasn’t looking right, so have just corrugated all the way through. I now ask the question why did I bother with the roof trusses/girders, when I could have just bought the laser cut ones? Still not 100% happy though, the ridge dips at both gable ends giving a hump along its length. It’s going to have to be disguised or come off.

At least you know that the detail is there.

Probably adds to the realism - it is an old building.

Well I did say I wasn’t happy. The corrugated panels were taken off both gable ends this evening, the front end has been rebuilt without the dip in the girders. Happier now. Just some weathering to do to hide the mask where the barge boards were glued. The ridge will be plastic angle as opposed to folded foil trays, they didn’t look right either.

Who says this is a relaxing hobby :?:

So after the festivities and a little break in Hamburg with a behind the scenes tour of Miniature Wunderland (stunning!) the mojo is back.

Sorted the lighting in the good shed and weathered the roof, although I’m not sure the moss has turned out as I intended. I’m sure someone on here did similar with much better results, but can I find it, no.

Anyway, night and day shots. More work to do on it.
