No problems on EE here using a HTC phone on monthly SIM only.

I wonder if the sudden change may be due to some work on the exchange or the wires near you. We had new poles put up all around here recently and after that the internet slowed and after a week or so everything went back to normal. Solved it, had to change some settings on my phone, it was to do with IPV4 and IPV6 apparently.
