For anyone thinking of getting a new car I wouldn't contemplate going to a dealer ever again. Got a new Nissan last year online from NCD (New Car Discount). Showroom cost £23000, NCD delivered to my door for £15000 and gave me a much better p/ex price than the local dealer was offering.

I had a tour round their factory when I was working, IIRC it was the Freelander line. Fascinating watching all the bits arriving from different areas all coming together at the right time on the assembly line. What struck me was the panels from the paint shop were not all the same colour. I expected them to do a batch of white, then blue etc but they were all mixed up. I was looking to see if any got driven out with different colour doors but they seem to have got it right. :D
Most people are shocked when they find out how bad I am as an electrician

NCD sounds great but there have none of the potential cars I fancy in their listings. OK for a don’t want that one purchase but no good if I need a Skoda Kamiq 2020 pre-order.

A bit like these scrappage schemes where you have to buy on their credit or contract hire schemes. I want to pay cash at the same discounts thank you.
