Never made any from scratch. They need to be quite tall. I shall have a go very soon. Got plenty of old wire.

Nature does not conform to a gauge. Tall trees, medium sized and little ones; they all live together. One tree is not one colour. It has many colours. In a number of trees you will see 'fifty shades of green'. Oh! and no black.Walkingthedog wrote: ↑Mon Apr 20, 2020 5:19 pm They need to be quite tall. I shall have a go very soon. Re: Diesels at Crown Point.
Yes I know but generally OO gauge trees are far too short, usually about 6 inches max for a mature tree which equates to about 38 ft which is pretty small for a tree. We have an oak at the bottom of our garden which is at least 60 feet tall and it isn’t particularly big. So an OO tree should be 9 to 12 inches tall. My O gauge trees will need to be at least 18 inches if they are mature.
I only want 2 or 3 tall trees the rest can be smaller.

It was the same when we lived in Northumberland near the Scottish Border. We had trees in the garden 60-70 feet tall and growing.Walkingthedog wrote: ↑Mon Apr 20, 2020 6:35 pm We have an oak at the bottom of our garden which is at least 60 feet tall and it isn’t particularly big.
I'll leave it up to you regarding building the trees.

A view from the control area as a Wakefield Kirkgate to Leeds Central DMU passing Marston's Scrap yard. Old trees removed. New trees and bushes added.

Class 25 25218 with a diverted Goole to Leeds Central train passing Wyndham Farm.
A view not normally seen. Passing the Scrap Yard.
Approaching The Calls Junction. The footbridge is a new addition. More work required around the area.
