Cameos -- a moment in time.

On my layout I try to do little cameos. Things that happen in real life. They have nothing to do with railways, but when the train passes a believable scene is seen. (Says he hopefully. :) )

Watching the train. Although this scene cannot be seen from the control area, I could not resist adding the little boy with his dad watching trains.

Gardening. He has a new wheelbarrow. :) Maybe later I will 'dirty it up'.

Asking the way Road transport is very big in my life. Before the world of Sat Navs there was always a driver asking the way.

Just little cameos. Easy to do. Just a reason why.

Thanks for looking

Good idea. Like you say, even if they are not easily seen, you know they are there.

I see the dog amongst the sheep has gone, I take it the farmer shot it.

The dog is still there, WTD. You will see it in the 'Animals' thread. :) I will have to move it (if I can reach it. Some of the scenery was done before tracklaying and is now inaccessible  ).

I think cameos make a layout come alive. Here are three of mine on a row of terraced houses. A window cleaner working late. An elderly couple with dog chatting and a postman refusing to pass through gate as there is a barking dog on other side (not visible in this pic so you will have to take my word for it  )

Plus a bonus pic of 3 shed workers trying to keep warm on a cold night

Excellent TWD. They make the scene unique. imo.

One of the first I did
'Changing the wheel' Max the guard dog watches with interest. In the scrap yard, Charlie Marston is negotiating a price with a prospective buyer for one of the engines.
