Wrenn Period 1 Wagons

#1

Post by Viscount »

I have 4 of these and the running is poor. All plastic wheels in tin axles holders not really good. Any tips how to replace with something better like pin point? I've measured the space and pin point overall axle length of 25.6mm plus brass top hat bearings take it way beyond what's available and I can't see a way of accurate drilling out the chassis to accommodate more width.

Wrenn wagons should have 2 nylon hangers which 'plug' in either side of the chassis. where the axle box is there should be slot running up to what would be the hidden top of chassis. from the top down you need to push these out with a flat screwdriver. once you can fit newer but wrenn made nylon slot in hangers available from moorwrenn on google or ebay name wrenngalore he does them in little lots but contact him and he is very helpful from experience as i have a lot wrenn wagons
