APT-E in N Gauge

It doesn't have to actually tilt but I'd like an APT-E. I have an HST but have always felt that was second best.

There was for several years a scheme by DJ models, to produce N gauge set. Lonh thread on another forum. Prices were enormous, but then dropped down. Finally, whole thing died a death. It was felt then, and probably , still is, that demand, would never cover costs.

Whatever caused DJM to finally fail*, some things he promised have since turned up, eg. the Class 17s, with others in the pipe-line, this time with a good chance of arrival. So I'd not entirely wipe out the chances of an APT appearing, but the likely sales numbers have always been against it.

No harm in wishful thinking. I would also welcome it, but thread is long since dead, and cost were prohibitive.

If I eventually get into 3D printing I might be able to produce something that sits on existing chassis. It won't be prototypical though but I'll happily share the blueprint.

If. Eventually. :)
