APT-E in N Gauge
APT-E in N Gauge
It doesn't have to actually tilt but I'd like an APT-E. I have an HST but have always felt that was second best.
Re: APT-E in N Gauge
There was for several years a scheme by DJ models, to produce N gauge set. Lonh thread on another forum. Prices were enormous, but then dropped down. Finally, whole thing died a death. It was felt then, and probably , still is, that demand, would never cover costs.

Shame really, cos it kept the forum agog for a year ortwo. People actually placed pre orders at high price.

Re: APT-E in N Gauge
Whatever caused DJM to finally fail*, some things he promised have since turned up, eg. the Class 17s, with others in the pipe-line, this time with a good chance of arrival. So I'd not entirely wipe out the chances of an APT appearing, but the likely sales numbers have always been against it.
*I think we all have an idea, but speculation is useless.
Re: APT-E in N Gauge
No harm in wishful thinking. I would also welcome it, but thread is long since dead, and cost were prohibitive.

Re: APT-E in N Gauge
If I eventually get into 3D printing I might be able to produce something that sits on existing chassis. It won't be prototypical though but I'll happily share the blueprint.
If. Eventually.
If. Eventually.
