No its correct!
It offers users additional items if desired.

Example from another post.... The circled red has a degree symbol added from the Miscellaneous Symbols selection

The symbols on the tabs for Accented Characters, Math Symbols, Miscellaneous Symbols and Greek Letters, they just look a bit odd.

The tabs text does look strange agreed. It just shows an example of the symbols available. But an explanation text is displayed when the tab is hovered over.
