Coronation Class Queen Elizabeth R3623

Post by mjb1961 »

Recently bought this beautiful model but on inspection found the two handles(I think ) on the front end of the loco missing ,the lamp holder and the lower two handles are there. It seams like they were never fitted rather than fallen out and in the box etc, anyway does anyone know if you can buy these small detail parts ,I won't be sending it back for a refund or exchange because this was the last one and I got it at a good price so will be keeping her regardless,,,look forward to any suggestions.

It may be helpful to point out on this picture which bits are missing. The simple wire handrails can easily be made with nickel silver wire.

A short length of wire bent and cut to fit will do the job (and look better :D ). Nickel silver will avoid the need to paint them. Google Albion Alloys for suppliers.
