It seems that some of the modelling retailers are having a bit of a clear out. Is it always the same at this time of year?

I’ve just ordered a couple of Hornby passenger coaches from Kernow (see https://www.kernowmodelrailcentre.com/ and check-out the Bargain tab) that were reduced by about 50%. There were some other coaches that I fancied, but my good lady reminded me that we still haven’t sorted out any of the electrics for our layout, which is true. Pity. Still, worth a look, maybe?

Kernow have a constant bargains page - some of the stuff there has been there for ages. Other retailers have sales at often irregular intervals. Currently ones at https://www.modelrailwaysdirect.co.uk/ and https://www.themodelcentre.com/ and probably others

Hattons have dropped their prices on the same stuff that Kernow is offering, although prices are less keen. Perhaps this is stuff that doesn’t sell well. Personally, I think that the sale prices are nearer the more realistic prices. I’ll see when my coaches arrive.
