hi does anybody


know where i can obtain a wheel pickup base for a hornby 2 8 0 loco


part no x6594 peters spares have not got one listed and i am trying to repair my loco and could really do with finding one best regards bob clifford

hi brian no luck with lendons hornby say it is out of stock but thanks for your email i will keep trying ebay etc regards bob

Elanes Trains does sell a few secondhand spares. Worth a check there. Failing that, can one be adapted from another design of loco or can one be made out of plasticard and things?
If I can think of another potential place to look I will let you know. If it is an older loco then maybe someone like Triangman or another secondhand specialist may have one or a spare complete chassis? Worth a try.

Which type of 2-8-0 is it. Are the GWR 2-8-0's similar underneath as in the link above there are some but may not be the same.

The part number quoted is for the 42xx tank.

Ah. Ok. GWR locos did have a standard parts policy so wonder if the model is the same?
