Far North Line - Helmsdale
Hi,
Fairly sure I was a member here years ago, but lost touch with the forum and only rediscovered it during an online search for something a few weeks ago. Here are a few shots of my take on the line north of Inverness in the last decade of steam, an interpretation of Helmsdale, an important staging post back then.

That is stunning, what scale is it. Welcome back if you have come back and if not just welcome.

Some very nice modelling there. I particularly like the apparent seamless way the working part of the layout blends into the background. Well done sir.

Lovely modeling welcome back. I guess it is O gauge ? The photos don't show the couplings which are normally a give away.

Welcome back.
The photos look really good. Is the backscene a bespoke photographic one?

Thanks all - I've plenty more pics if they are of interest. The layout is 00 gauge and the background is the Hills and Dales - the original one with an overcast sky - by Art Printers, which manages to capture the actual background close enough for me. I had intended to do a panorama stitch of the real Helmsdale but this one has sufficed so far.
