I have blunted Heathers embroidery sissors, and am in the dog house. Any sharpening suggestions, please, as bread and water, beckons. john

Fold some fine sandpaper grit side out then cut it 10 to 20 times. Should do the trick.

WTD, thanks. Still not up to Quality control. Heather had terrible fall on Boxing Day, and her face a real mess. Nurse coming daily, and sissors will not cut gauze dressings. Nurse due this aft, and i am really in dog house

Sharpen them with a slipstone just as you would a wood chisel John.
I have some fine diamond slips at home (the other one) that put a keen edge on most things.

Oh dear. Hope she is OK. Make sure dog isn’t in dog house, you’ll have more room.

Two black eyes, split lip,broken glasses, more graze than face, pretty bad, according to nurse. We can not go shopping, for fear of somebody calling a ,Gendame for domestic violence. Still, learning about washing machines and cooking.

That’s your problem John, washing machines are not ideal for cooking.

Gosh, there is a difference. That room, I think it’s called a kitchen, is a no go area. Suddenly I find it’s filled with machinery. Let’s hope the nurse does not need any hot water
