Lima GWR Parcels Railcar

Can anyone advise if this model has power pick ups on both bogies. Thank you.

Think you will find it picks up from one side on one bogie and the other side on the other bogie.

No wish to but in WTD but I have 2 Lima railcars GWR and can confirm you are correct one side front other side back wheel sets do the picking up. I can also confirm there are lovely slow runners as well.. ..........John

Hollywood foundries did a bogie upgrade for the Lima railcar that involved new motor, better pickups on all wheels. They are temporarily closed but worth a look when they reopen

I do think that improving the pick ups is a good idea but my 2 run very well indeed at all speeds. Excellent at slow speed. So I would not bother with the new motor unless it needed replacing. I like my models to be original if possible. Those Lima rail cars are very good runners but the pick ups could be improved I agree.

I used to have a couple. I remember adding a pickup to the other side of the unpowered bogies.

Might be able to source a ex lima chassis to fit the lima body as hornby have done this loco from the lima
