My work here is done.
So now its time for you to build a portable exhibition quality layout. I still have spaces available for 2020!
Just think of all the free teas/coffees and lunches that can be had
That has just been vetoed by the Memsahib.
I could put Low Ghyll on legs as it is modular. But as it’s viewed from the centre, it’s crowd appeal would be limited.

You need to bring more flowers and chocolates home and work on the fact that an exhibition layout would give you both weekend outings!!!
You clearly have never met my wife.
Flowers and chocolates are reserved for anniversaries, for example tomorrow. And I’ve dodged being found in a shallow grave for 38 years now.

Sounds as though many members wives went to the same school!
The 08 has its 8 pin socket at the front but there isn’t not enough room to fit the decoder vertically in that area. Fortunately the harness allows the decoder to be located towards the rear of the loco.I also cut a slot in the back head to allow the decoder to slide into the roof of the cab.

Looks and sounds great. Did you relocate the speaker after testing or were you happy with it on the cab floor? R-
I had to nudge it forward slightly to clear the lower edge of the glazing that’s all.
Not an expert but I believe they use speakers designed for mobile phones and mount them in slim green boxes - seem to give a reasonable result.
No doubt some one will point out the missing rumble from the spigot whistle.
