I had look at the wiki list which Tinker posted and way down the list there it was and I may add it was the only H I found as well there may have been others but I did not look further. But does it matter. :)

Fair enough John. There are several H sheds but not 82H.

AJ wanted to know what shed 82H was. Just trying to help.

I can't find it either - not on the Wiki list. Highest 82 shed that I can find, in several sources, is 82G Templecombe. There is an 83H - Plymouth (Priory) so are we looking at this one in error?

I suspect WTD came up with the correct answer right at the beginning - the East Somerset applied a local sounding shed code for their shed. :geek:

Not sure why John said there was one. Just trying to confuse me, easily done. :D

Hi Footplate

You're right - it doesn't matter at all. Doesn't mean no-one should try to help the OP. He's seen something which appears to be wrong and he's curious as to why. I now know something new which I would not have encountered in a thousand years. The learning days didn't end when I left school.

;)

You misunderstand me PP What I meant was does it matter if a heritage railway pinched a shed code from another region to give atmosphere to the engine shed. Why are you having a go at me. John

Sorry Brian looked again and I got the number wrong I thought I was looking for 84 H for some reason. Sorry took me awhile to get back but been so busy outside while the sun shines. Not been on here a lot.

Sorry John. There were 2 possible interpretations for your 'does it matter' and I chose the wrong one

East Somerset was a GW line, shedcode was a local Western Region example so they tied in nicely ;)
