WEST ORTON
Re: WEST ORTON
To complete the set I picked up a Standard 7, 'Thomas Hardy' from ebay.
It's not perfect - the accessory pack is missing (no big deal as I have spares that will do) and the coal load had been badly replaced with fake coal. That washed out quite easily and will be loaded with the real stuff in due course.
It was advertised with a 'slight squeak from the valve gear' - that turned out not to be a squeak but a displaced bit of the motion. I don't know its correct name but it's the very thin L shaped link that connects to a square plastic box just above and behind the cylinders and it just clips back in.
Not bad for £90.

Clever pose - in both shots you appear deep in concentration. R-
Young at heart. Slightly older in other parts.

I've been using inexpensive metal drawer units from IKEA for many years in the railway room and workshop but was struggling to make them work for storing my stock of 3D printed figures.
Until I realised that by taking the drawer fronts off, I could fit two hobbycraft compartment boxes into each drawer and still see to find the items I needed.
